Bodhi Linux 2.3.0 Released – Download DVD ISO Images
Bodhi team are happy to announce the immediate availability of Bodhi Linux 2.3.0, a minimalistic Linux operating system based on Ubuntu that uses by default Enlightenment Desktop (E17).
The Bodhi team also announced this release is mainly a maintenance update. This means all new packages mentioned in this release can be download through package update manager. Users who are already updating their systems via package manager, can already have the latest Bodhi version installed.

Bodhi Linux 2.3.0 Highlights
- Linux Kernel was updated to 3.8 version.
- Enlightenment desktop updated to version 0.17.1.
- Midori internet browser updated to 0.4.9.
- Ubiquity gets version 2.12.
- Terminology 0.3.0 (a nice terminal emulator for E17).
- Added eCcess system tool to change time and date and manage users / groups.
- Added 5 new themes by default.
And of course there are a lots of other new application updates in the Bodhi repository (but not included by default) such as Firefox 19.0.2, LibreOffice 4.0.1, Chromium 25 and nVidia 310 drivers.

This lightweight Bodhi Linux uses a “semi-rolling” release cycle, they basically follow the Ubuntu LTS release model for the core development of their distribution, but in between these major release they back-ported software to users, so users can keep their systems up-to-date with applications such as LibreOffice, Firefox and so on.
